Why is the form I-693 required for immigration purposes?
The Immigration Medical Exam is required for filing form I-485 (Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status. Once you have your "Green Card," you can become a citizen in 3 - 5 years, depending on your case.
What is the cost of the immigration medical exam?
The exam requires a medical examination by our immigration certified civil surgeon, blood and urine labs, and vaccinations if you don't have proofs. Continue reading for all the details.
The cost at our clinic is:
$300
for each Patient
- It is self-pay and not covered by any insurance -
- The examination includes digital preparation of the form I-693, revision of documents including vaccine records and the examination with our immigration certified doctor.
- If there are any missing vaccines, you will receive a script that you can take to the pharmacy of your choosing.
The required labs:

- The labs require blood and urine testing and you do not need to fast. One of the tests is for tuberculosis and some individuals test positive due to vaccination in other countries. If this is the case, Immigration will require a chest x-ray with a cost of $30 - $50.
- Our lab is located next door for your convenience, but the laboratory closes at 3pm so it is recommended that you schedule your appointment in the morning if you want to do both the examinations and the labs on the same day.

- If you have vaccine records from your country, we will review them to avoid the extra cost but keep in mind that some vaccines expire, and you must perform them again even if you had them in the past.
- Vaccines have an extensive range in price. Our office has access to verify your information within the FloridaShot portal and obtain a full report and avoid unnecessary vaccines costs at no additional charge if vaccines have been performed in Florida.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN VACCINATED BUT DON'T HAVE THE RECORDS, WE CAN REQUEST A BLOOD TITER TEST TO SEE IF THE ANTIBODIES ARE PRESENT IN YOUR BLOOD.

How long does it take to complete the process?
- We need to see you at the clinic at least 2 times. the initial visit to do the paperwork, labs and doctor visit and one sign and pick up the paperwork.
- We deliver the sealed envelope in 5-7 days if the labs return normal and we have all the required vaccine records or proofs.
- Some patients require an additional chest x-ray or medical treatment if the blood or urine test come back positive delaying the process.

What do I need to bring to the appointment?
You need to bring Identification, any Vaccine records from your country, and any notification or letter from immigration you received as they need to be included in the sealed envelope.
Can I send a family member to pick up my sealed envelope?
No, the person applying and performing the exam MUST sign in person after verifying all information is correct before we seal the envelope.
